BRIDGE TO NOWHERE

IMG_0302.JPG

What does this bridge connect? Where does it go? It is in between two pieces of land, over water, and under sky. A bridge is a fixture, a path, and a place of its own. It is not necessary and yet there it is and so it has a function. Bridges are not just for going from point A to point B. Upon return point B is now point A and point A is now point B after all. They go at least two directions. The bridge is still but there is no fixed destination. Every structure is part of the journey. Every journey leads you to exactly where you are. You are where you are and that is exactly where you are. From the centerpoint the bridge takes you nowhere, like all else the bridge flows through you.
